4:00 PM, April 5
Congress for the New Urbanism’s New York State Chapter will conduct a Battery Park City walking tour to complement the related April 5 National Arts Club lecture. The one-hour tour will show firsthand the design characteristics that make Battery Park City a better place to live and a model that helped build the principles of New Urbanism. Throughout the tour, equity and resilience perspectives will be discussed about this unique corner of Manhattan.
The tour will be led by Zeke Mermell, AICP, LEED AP, a Senior Urban Designer and Transportation Planner at Sam Schwartz Engineering and Camille Cortes, an Urban Designer at Robert A.M. Stern Architects. Register for the walking tour by emailing zmermell@samschwartz.com. The starting point will be given when your registration is confirmed.
